How long does an audit of our energy costs take and how much will it cost?

A typical Flexergy audit will take about four weeks to complete any provide a detailed report of the costs associated with all energy-consuming systems and devices, from lighting and power, HVAC, renewables and EV infrastructure.

You will be provided with a full, detailed report of where energy is being used, from lighting areas to water heaters to EV chargers.

We will also provide a suggested energy use reduction plan –with varying budget options - which may include anything from simple automated systems for lighting and heating to renewable energy installations, with estimated monthly savings calculated.

What are the common issues leading to avoidable energy costs?

Lighting and HVAC systems are the most common sources of energy wastage in the businesses we have installed Flexergy systems in. Lighting spend can be reduced by investing in new energy-saving systems, or by introducing areas zoned scheduling and controls to meet the exact needs of that area of the building.

This can include areas of dimmed lighting, areas of motion-sensored lighting to ensure they only work when populated, automated daylight-saving lighting systems and zoned areas with different lighting levels, on the same floor / shared office.

Flexergy can also ensure your HVAC systems are running at peak performance, delivering a comfortable environment at all times whilst reducing energy use.

Hot water appliances and drinks machines in kitchens, which constantly reheat, can also rack up energy bills when not even used. By automating appliances, we’ll make sure your premises are as energy efficient as they can be.

What is the cost of installing the software to reduce our energy usage?

The cost will all depend upon how many energy reducing solutions you want to introduce.

Our system has been designed to allow a full solution, or for businesses to prioritise the most energy-wasting priorities, where the biggest savings can be made most quickly.

Would I need to agree to monthly management of the system?

For maximum efficiency and the best continuing analysis and adaptation of the system, we would advise taking up our monthly monitoring and support service.

Equally, customers can just choose to use the dashboard and monitor performance themselves after solutions have been installed.

We will always offer in-house service support if required.

£2,000-a-year energy savings for business

Flexergy is saving a customer around £2,000 a year on its energy bills, with no negative environmental impact, having implemented a smart control system that automates devices.

This has included a new zoned and motion-sensored Lux/Pir controlled lighting system which allows users to adjust to their preferences, saving between £500-600 per year, an automated heat recovery system saving £450 per year and changes to optimise other devices saving a further £225 per year.

This Flexergy monitoring and control system cost around £800 to install, with a £2,500 additional cost for an entire new lighting system. The payback time on investment is one-and-a-half years.
